We are mother and daughter team Angie and Sasha Horky and the faces behind Wish Upon A Style.

We are a Wedding and Special Occasion Stylists based in Essex, with a passion for creating beautiful spaces.

We also own 'The Glittering Teapot Company', organising, styling and hosting Afternoon Tea Events.

Angie Horky

Before training as a Special Occasion Stylist I had a successful career in the travel industry arranging corporate travel and bespoke holidays.

Invited by our travel partners to visit and promote luxury destinations, I had the opportunity to stay in iconic hotels around the world, experiencing first-hand the lifestyle my affluent clients enjoyed.

Wanting to share my amazing experiences with family and friends, I enrolled in a number of courses covering interior design, event planning and cordon bleu cuisine.

Inspired by everything I had seen on my travels, I was able to indulge in my passion for hosting luxury dinner parties and vintage tea parties for family and friends.

My reputation for organising and styling unique events soon spread and this lead to styling Weddings and other celebrations.  Within a year It was time for me to leave the travel industry behind to became a full time Special Occasion Stylist – I now have my dream job!

Sasha Horky

From a young age it was clearly apparent I had inherited my mother’s love for styling and design.

Enjoying creative and artistic pursuits led me to travel extensively and I lived abroad during my twenties. My early career was in finance but my true vocation was to care for others and so I trained as a nurse and work for the NHS. I count myself extremely lucky, not only am I working in the profession I love, but I am also to be able to use my creative skills, fulfilling my other passion as an Event Stylist.  

I have always been creative but it was during my travels that I discovered my love for beautiful interiors and design.  I returned home to The UK full of ideas, enthusiasm and with the passion and skills to transform empty spaces into amazing places!

Working with my mother has proved to be the perfect partnership and spending so much time together is a total joy for both of us.
